Hal Leary is a genuine southerner. Born at the time of the bus boycott in Montgomery, Alabama, he brings a unique perspective on life in general and his own life experiences in particular. As the son of devout Christian parents, Hal grew up in a staunchly conservative home without a television or movies. This probably contributed to his love of reading and a little later in life, of writing. It also helped him to have a faith of his own which he hopes will encourage others.
His goal is to make you laugh, remember and maybe occasionally dab a tear from the corner of your eye.
Come along and remember things like hunting, fishing, swimming, going to church and life with four brothers and lots of cousins. You’ll find yourself saying, “Hey! I remember that!”

I had a great visit with Brett and Ross this week and they told me of your writing. This took me back to Woodley Road and the fun we all had there growing up.
